Keith Thompson creates some awesome sci-fi art. There’s alot to peruse on his site, with sections that include concept art for characters, creatures, vehicles and environments, not to mention robots and the undead.

If that wasn’t enough, most of his work also includes an engrossing back story that adds real depth to the characters. What I particularly like are some of the decorative aspects of the armour and uniforms of his characters, which imply history, adding to the back stories.
