Stop Motion Colour

Students at HAWK Hildesheim put together this excellent stop motion piece depicting colours. Stop motion takes plenty of time and prep to put together, but I hate to think what they would do if they made a mistake with the paint.

Star Wars Pet AT-AT

Patrick Boivin who came up with Iron Baby stirs up toy nostalgia with the Pet AT-AT’s afternoon slice of life. AT-AT shooting at the squirrel and dumping out a little Hutt are pure win.

Robot Footballers – extreme football, action and science fiction idents

Ok, this has been around the block as well as sitting on my list for ages, but still no less impressive. TV network Cuatro commissioned Barcelona-based, audio-visual specialists, Kotoc to make the idents for the UEFA Euro 2008 competition.

Cuatrobots

Kotoc were briefed with “robots, football and superheroes” and created a campaign consisting of small sequences in which extreme football, action and science fiction merge.

Check Behance to watch the Cuatrobots!

There’s a few idents there, but they’re short and very sweet.

Stop Motion Film for Publishing House 4th Estate

Publishing house 4th Estate celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2009 and commissioned London’s Apt Studio to mark the occasion with a stop-motion film called This is Where We Live.

The film was produced in stop-motion over 3 weeks in Autumn 2008. Each scene was shot on a home-made dolly by an insane bunch of animators.

Evolution of Tech

“Evolution of Technology” mixes robots and biology to explain survival of the fittest. Being a fan of the robot aesthetic, I’m loving the mix of bio and tech.
