Magnetic Curtain

Florian Krautli has created a magnetic curtain – a simple, brilliant idea. This would save me having to manipulate our curtains countless times to get it to stay as I want.

“A curtain which you can shape to any form. Through the incorporated structure and magnets, it stays in the shape you push and pull it to.”

Calendar of Matches

Yurko Gutsulyak designed this delightfully dangerous Calendar of Matches.

Calendar-Matches2

Each page is a month with a comb made of matches with each match corresponding to a day.

Calendar-Matches1

The matches are real and the construction of the calendar is absolutely safe, although I would suggest this item is for the riskier of us. Maybe if there are any stuntmen in the house?

Inspirational Vintage Advertisements

Following our previous Vintage and Retro Typography Showcase, here are some inspirational Vintage advertisements.

They look like they were spot on in terms of attracting sales at the time, but if taken seriously now, would be laughable. But that’s what makes them appealing now, so the retro touch can be used when appropriate to sell afterall!
