Comic Super Heros in a new light by Artist Anthony Lister

Here are some interesting interpretations of a selection of iconic comic book characters, by artist Anthony Lister.

The washy, ethereal style matches the subject matter and is a nice contrast to the usual, polished and buff renderings you get with the real deal. Even the superheroes are really human – is that a Krispy Kreme that Batman is munching?

Retro Light iPhone Wallpapers

James White has some superb iPhone wallpapers on his blog, Signalnoise.com. I don’t usually give much attention to stuff like this, but Jame’s work I think, is exceptional!

They’re quite simple in technique, but the visuals are really quite stunning, and can fit easily in the context of a shiny new iPhone, enhancing its design considerably.

Now, if only they’d hurry up and release the 3G iPhone over here..

The End – A Collection of Screenshots from Films

I guess there are many ways to say goodbye. However, in film, there is so much pressure to make the finale something worth viewing, or waiting for. To discover the twist, or to create that happy ending.

The final screen from films when they used to display “The End” was usually just a confirmation rather than the climax, but Filckr user “24 fps” gives due respect and reference to this last screen from almost 300 films.

Check out the The End gallery for inspiration on how to say goodbye…
