Zeppelin Hat
Molly “Porkshanks” Friedrich’s Ludiculous Skytop Zeppelin Hat is a sky-blue, cloud-decorated leatherette top-hat, featuring a miniature zeppelin on its brim.

I’d love to see someone wearing this to Ascot! On a traditional day for hat wearing, this is sure to stand out for its quirkiness - well, I think it would look great amongst the supposedly more refined designs.
As a symbol for old victorian cool, you probably can’t get better than a zeppelin, in my opinion. Why did someone have to invent more efficient, faster forms of air transport like planes?!?

Toy Hacking - Remake Your Electronic Toys
Don’t know what to do with those spare toys lying around post-Christmas season? This workshop just might be the thing for you.
The H3 Toy Hacking workshop runs in London on January 12-13. It’s a two-day hands-on training session in which you’ll be taught to strip, reimagine and remake electronic toys, turning them into your own glorious frankentoys. No knowledge of electronics is required.

Now come on all you thirty-something designers. Do you often get “designer” toys from do-gooder friends and family who just don’t understand the difference between a Kubrick and a brick?
With all those rejects, you can now go to the next level and custom build your own designer toys!

Incredible Custom Ambigrams by Artist Tiffany Harvey
Artist Tiffany Harvey offers custom ambigram design! What is an Ambigram? I’ll let Tiffany do the explantion:
I like to think of ambigrams as a merging of calligraphy and optical illusions. While there are many ways to warp a word, I focus on rotational designs ~ one word appears the same when up-side down, or flips to create a whole new word.

I’ve always been fascinated by the creativity and design skills required to create one of these, especially since reading Dan Brown’s book “Angels and Demons” and seeing this technique featured. The results also look quite good.
Well, now its possible to have one of these custom designed, where one word only costs $25! Tiffany also offers a choice of different font styles.
